Peer Review Process

Double-Blind Peer Review Process

All submissions to Medha Drishty International Research Journal (MDIRJ) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the evaluation process. This system is designed to promote fairness, objectivity, transparency, and academic integrity while maintaining high standards of scholarly publishing.

Purpose of Peer Review

The peer review process aims to evaluate the quality, originality, validity, methodological rigor, relevance, and scholarly contribution of submitted manuscripts before publication. Manuscripts are reviewed by qualified experts with appropriate subject expertise. Their independent and constructive assessments assist the Editorial Board in determining whether a manuscript meets the journal's academic, ethical, and publication standards.

Key Characteristics of Peer Review

Exclusive Submission

Manuscripts submitted to MDIRJ must be original and must not be simultaneously under consideration, review, or publication in another journal, conference proceeding, edited book, or other publication platform.

Scope Consideration

MDIRJ considers manuscripts that fall within its multidisciplinary scope, including Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, Management, Commerce, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Law, Arts, Science, Technology, Information Technology, Environmental Studies, Library and Information Science, Physical Education, Health Sciences, and related interdisciplinary and emerging areas.

Initial Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal's scope, basic scholarly requirements, originality, ethical compliance, and adherence to manuscript submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's basic requirements may be returned to authors or declined before external peer review.

Review by Experts

Each manuscript is generally evaluated by two independent subject experts possessing relevant academic or professional expertise. Additional reviewers may be invited when specialized knowledge or further assessment is required.

Editorial Decision-Making

The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board make the final publication decision after considering reviewer reports, manuscript quality, originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, relevance, and overall scholarly contribution. Possible decisions may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts submitted to MDIRJ are treated as confidential documents. Editors and reviewers must not disclose, distribute, reproduce, or use unpublished information contained in a manuscript for personal or professional purposes. Review materials and editorial correspondence are handled confidentially.

Conflict of Interest

Editors and reviewers are required to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest that could affect their impartiality. Individuals who have a conflict that may compromise objective evaluation will not participate in the review or decision-making process.

Independence and Impartiality

The peer review process is conducted independently and objectively to minimize personal, institutional, geographical, disciplinary, or other forms of bias. Where an editor, editorial board member, or person closely associated with the journal submits a manuscript, appropriate measures are taken to ensure an independent evaluation and editorial decision.

Reviewer Anonymity

MDIRJ follows a double-blind review model, under which reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors and author identities are concealed from reviewers to the extent reasonably possible. Authors are therefore expected to prepare manuscripts in a manner that does not unnecessarily reveal their identity through the manuscript text or file properties.

Revision and Resubmission

Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer comments and editorial recommendations. Authors should address reviewer observations carefully and provide appropriate responses to the comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers or evaluated by additional reviewers before a final editorial decision is made.

Ethical Considerations

The journal expects authors, reviewers, and editors to follow recognized standards of publication ethics and responsible research conduct. Issues relating to plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabrication, falsification, authorship disputes, ethical misconduct, conflicts of interest, and other publication-ethics concerns may be investigated and addressed in accordance with applicable journal policies and recognized publication-ethics principles.

Commitment to Quality

Through its double-blind peer review system, Medha Drishty International Research Journal (MDIRJ) is committed to maintaining academic quality, research integrity, fairness, confidentiality, and responsible scholarly publishing. The journal seeks to publish original and methodologically sound research that makes a meaningful contribution to knowledge and supports the advancement of scholarship across diverse academic and interdisciplinary fields.
