Invitation for Editorial/Reviewer Board Membership

Medha Drishty International Research Journal (MDIRJ) invites applications from qualified and experienced academicians, researchers, scholars, professionals, and subject experts to join its Editorial Board and Reviewer Board. As an international, open-access, peer-reviewed, and refereed multidisciplinary research journal, MDIRJ is committed to maintaining high standards of academic quality, research integrity, and scholarly publishing.

The journal welcomes applications from experts working across diverse disciplines including Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, Management, Commerce, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Law, Science, Technology, Information Technology, Environmental Studies, Physical Education, Health Sciences, Library and Information Science, Arts, and other interdisciplinary and emerging fields.

Editorial/Reviewer Board Requirements

Applicants should meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Hold a Ph.D. (Doctorate) in a relevant academic or professional discipline.

  • Currently serve as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, Research Scientist, Researcher, Academician, or equivalent professional in a recognized University, College, Research Institute, or professional organization.

  • Possess a Master's Degree in a relevant discipline along with significant teaching, research, academic, or professional experience.

  • Demonstrate subject expertise through research publications, academic projects, scholarly contributions, professional experience, or recognized achievements.

  • Have published a reasonable number of research papers in national or international peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, edited books, or other recognized scholarly publications.

  • Possess relevant experience in research, academic reviewing, editorial activities, or scholarly publishing.

Applications will be evaluated by the Editorial Committee based on academic qualifications, research experience, subject expertise, scholarly publications, and professional background. Selected candidates will be contacted by the Editorial Office.

Responsibilities of the Peer Reviewer

Peer reviewers play an important role in maintaining the quality, originality, and academic integrity of published research. Their responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating manuscripts within their area of academic or professional expertise.

  • Assessing the originality, research methodology, scholarly significance, relevance, clarity, and contribution of submitted manuscripts.

  • Providing constructive, objective, and academically relevant comments to assist authors in improving their manuscripts.

  • Identifying significant methodological, theoretical, ethical, or academic concerns where applicable.

  • Providing a recommendation such as acceptance, revision, or rejection based on the journal's review criteria.

  • Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding manuscripts and all information obtained during the review process.

  • Ensuring that unpublished information obtained through peer review is not used for personal or professional advantage.

Review Process Considerations

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Accept manuscripts only when they have appropriate expertise and sufficient knowledge of the subject area.

  • Inform the Editor promptly if a manuscript falls outside their area of expertise.

  • Complete assigned reviews within the stipulated review period, generally within two weeks of manuscript assignment, where practicable.

  • Inform the Editorial Office promptly if circumstances prevent completion of a review within the specified timeframe.

  • Provide fair, objective, professional, and constructive comments based on the scholarly quality of the manuscript.

  • Disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest that could affect impartial evaluation.

  • Maintain confidentiality throughout the review process and not share manuscript content with unauthorized persons.

  • Avoid personal criticism of authors and focus comments on the research and manuscript.

  • Notify the Editor of any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, significant ethical concerns, or other potential publication-ethics issues identified during review.

Responsibilities of Editorial Board Members

Editorial Board Members may be expected to:

  • Provide academic and scholarly guidance to the journal.

  • Support the maintenance of research quality and publication standards.

  • Review manuscripts within their area of expertise when requested.

  • Assist in identifying qualified reviewers.

  • Contribute to the development and academic visibility of the journal.

  • Support ethical and responsible scholarly publishing practices.

  • Maintain confidentiality and disclose relevant conflicts of interest.

  • Provide recommendations and academic suggestions for improving the journal's scope and quality.
